It's October! The skies have been mostly blue. There is post-season baseball to watch. Kids are in school. Days are getting shorter. Facebook sucks. Well, it's good for keeping in touch with friends and family old and new, but I don't like the idea of a facebook. Ramble! Rant? Repeat! R words are underrated. Here's one I'd like to see in use more: Redoubtable! If you don't know what it means, you can look it up. It's one of those fun words that you'd think you'd know the meaning based on the word itself, but it's not what you think.
Water Wars! Ongoing since 1996 between my husband and I. What the heck are the Water Wars, you may ask? Jason and I worked at the college over the summers of 1996 and 1997. In 1996 we started the Water War. Rules of engagement: douse the enemy in water any time unless they are dressed in nice clothes. That's pretty much it. Tonight's battle involved my water bottle, which I "accidentally" spilled on Jason's knee. Things quickly escalated and we both lost the battle. There was even water on the ceiling. It was a brief skirmish, but who knew a 16oz. bottle of Dasani could be a WMD?!
What else, what else... OH! I know! Wooly Bears!!!! There are a TON of them around here lately. Don't know what they are? See the picture above! Here's a link!
OK! I think that's about it for now. The real reason for this post? Clare threatened to take me off her blog list if I didn't update my blog! :) I realize I have been a TOTAL slacker on my bloggin' of late, but didn't realize there would be consequences if I didn't update! Now I have renewed inspiration to continue blogging on. It may not be every day, but I will try to post more regularly. Let me know what you think! If you read this, you have to leave a comment! How else can I go on if no one is even reading this? Clare, that means you! :)
